Securing your account is important and should be done immediately after registration. Here are the recommended security measures to protect your Flipster account.
In this article:
1. On Flipster Website
Step 1: Log in to your Flipster account. On the upper right-hand corner, click [Basic], then click on your user profile card to go to the Account page.
From the Account page, you can set up the following security features:
1. Enable Google Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
We strongly recommend enabling 2FA immediately after creating your account. 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a time-based one-time password (T-OTP) in addition to your login credentials. Click [Enable] next to Authenticator and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: Save your Recovery Key Phrase in a safe place. Withdrawals will be restricted for 24 hours after enabling 2FA. For enhanced security, disable cloud sync in Google Authenticator.
2. Set Up Your Passkey
A passkey uses biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) or device PIN to verify your identity. Passkeys are resistant to phishing and work only on your trusted devices. Click [Enable] next to Passkey and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Enable Advanced Login Protection
Advanced Login Protection adds an extra verification step (SMS, T-OTP, email, or passkey) when logging in. Toggle it on from the Account page.
4. Set Up Anti-Phishing Code
An anti-phishing code is a personalized code that appears in all official Flipster emails, helping you verify they are legitimate. Click [Enable] next to Anti-phishing code, create your code and confirm it.
Note: If an email from Flipster does not contain your anti-phishing code, do not click any links.
5. Manage Trusted Devices
Regularly review your trusted devices to ensure only devices you recognize have access to your account. Click [Manage] next to Device management and remove any unrecognized devices.
Note: If you notice an unknown device, remove it immediately and change your password.
6. Review Your Withdrawal Limit
Review and adjust your withdrawal limit for additional control over your funds. Click [Change] next to Withdrawal limit.
