Identity verification (KYC) is required to trade, deposit, or withdraw on Flipster. Make sure you have verified your email before beginning.
In this article:
1. On Flipster Website
Step 1: Log in to your Flipster account.
Step 2: On the upper right-hand corner of the webpage, click [Basic], then select "Verification needed >".
You can also start verification from the [Verify now] banner at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Click "Verify" next to Identity Verification to begin the Level 2 verification process.
Step 4: Select your country of residence and click [Continue].
Step 5: Enter your personal information (first name, last name, date of birth, city, country of residence, nationality) and click [Continue].
Step 6: Complete facial verification through your device's camera, or select "Continue on phone" to use your mobile device.
Step 7: Select the issuing country and document type for your proof of identity.
Flipster accepts the following government-issued documents:
- Passport
- Driver's License
- Identity Card / Resident Registration Card
- Residence Card / Alien Registration Card
Step 8: Upload your identity document. Click [Continue on phone] to scan a QR code and complete on your mobile device.
Notes:
- Upload a colored photo or file
- Take a photo in a well-lit room
- Don't edit images of your document
- Documents must be valid and not expired

- Ensure your face is within the frame
- Don't wear hats, glasses, or masks
Step 9: Your verification will be reviewed. This typically takes approximately 30 minutes. A success message will appear once your profile has been verified.
2. On Flipster App
Step 1: In the top-left corner, tap your profile tab (shown as Basic), then tap Verify your identity.
Alternatively, you can start verification by tapping Verify now on the Assets tab.
Step 2: Tap "Verify" next to Level 2 Identity Verification.
Review the required steps — Profile Details, Selfie, and Identity document — then tap Continue to proceed.
Note: Already have a Sumsub ID? Tick the checkbox at the bottom to re-use your verified data and complete verification faster
Step 3: Enter your personal information (first name, last name, date of birth, city, country of residence, nationality) and tap [Continue].
Step 4: Complete facial verification through your device's camera.
Step 5: Select the issuing country and document type for your proof of identity.

For most users, Standard (Level 2) verification unlocks all features on Flipster. Depending on your region, Advanced verification may also be required — if so, you'll be prompted automatically.
