Overview
Fixed Multiplier Mode is a copy execution method in Copy Trading that allows followers to copy a master trader’s position using a user-defined multiplier. This gives followers more control over the size of each copied trade.
Copy Trading currently supports two execution methods:
- Fixed Ratio (Default) – Position size is automatically scaled based on the equity ratio between the follower and the master trader.
- Fixed Multiplier (New) – Position size is determined by a multiplier selected by the follower.
How Fixed Multiplier Mode Works
In Fixed Multiplier Mode, each copied position is opened at a fixed multiple of the master trader’s position size.
Formula:
- Target Position Size = Multiplier × Master Position Size
- Effective Leverage = min (Master leverage, Copier leverage limit)
- Required Margin = Target Notional / Effective Leverage
Multiplier Range:
- Minimum: 0.01x
- Maximum: 100x
- Default: 1.0x
Example:
If the master trader opens a 100 USDT position and your multiplier is set to 2x, your copied position will open at 200 USDT.
Important Notes
- If the follower does not have sufficient margin, the copy trade will fail.
- The system does not automatically reduce the position size if the margin is insufficient.
- Using a high multiplier may increase the likelihood of failed copy orders due to insufficient margin.
Setting Fixed Multiplier Mode
When configuring your copy trading settings, you can select Fixed Multiplier as the copy execution method.
Steps
- Select Fixed Multiplier in the copy mode options.
- Configure the following settings:
- Copy Amount

Viewing Copy Mode in Copy Activity
In the subscription details of a Master Trader, the following information will be displayed:
- Copy Mode (Fixed Ratio or Fixed Multiplier)
- Copy Multiplier value (when Fixed Multiplier is selected)
This allows followers to easily track the copy configuration used for each subscription.
Maximum Leverage Limits
The maximum leverage allowed for copied trades depends on the asset category:
| Category | Maximum Leverage |
| Category 1 | 100x |
| Category 2 | 50x |
| Category 3–8 | 20x |
| Category 9–13 | Not supported |
The effective leverage used for copied trades will always be the lower value between the master trader’s leverage and the follower’s leverage limit.
Note:
The symbols assigned to each category may change from time to time.
